Are you a passionate SEN Teacher with QTS or QTLS looking for a rewarding permanent teaching opportunity this September?

Do you have experience teaching a class of pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)?

A highly regarded specialist school in East Cheshire is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher to join its welcoming and supportive team from September 2026.

The school supports students aged 11-16 with a range of additional needs, including ASC, PMLD, severe learning difficulties (SLD), communication needs and associated neurological conditions. You''ll teach a small class, delivering personalised learning that enables every student to achieve academically, socially and emotionally.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to EHCP outcomes.
  • Teach and support students with Autism, PMLD and complex learning needs.
  • Create a calm, structured and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Work closely with experienced Teaching Assistants, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Promote independence, confidence and preparation for adulthood.

Person Specification

To be considered, you must:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
  • Have experience teaching your own class of pupils with Autism (ASC) or PMLD within a specialist school, SEND setting or through relevant teaching placements.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management, resilience and a nurturing approach.
  • Be committed to delivering outstanding outcomes for children and young people with additional needs.

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are warmly encouraged to apply, provided they have gained practical experience teaching a class of pupils with ASC or PMLD during placements or previous employment.
