Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work closely with students who have a range of learning difficulties and disabilities, developing and implementing tailored educational plans to meet their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualised education programs (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
- Assess students'' abilities and craft appropriate teaching strategies.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the learning and development of all students.
- Collaborate with other educators, parents, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Monitor and report on the progress of students, adjusting plans as necessary.
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage and motivate students.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with school policies and safeguarding procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation in Special Educational Needs is desired, although alternative teaching qualifications will also be considered, i.e PTTLS.
- Proven experience working with children with a range of special educational needs.
- Strong understanding of current SEN legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine commitment to supporting the educational development of students with SEND.
