Salary: £170 - £220 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic SEND school in Birmingham, supporting primary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and a range of additional learning needs. The school provides a structured, nurturing environment where positive relationships, emotional wellbeing and individual progress are at the heart of everything they do.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated SEMH Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful SEMH Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons, managing behaviour positively and supporting pupils to achieve both academically and socially. The role requires a patient, resilient and adaptable teacher who can build strong relationships and promote a safe, inclusive learning environment.

The successful SEMH Teacher will have:

• QTS with experience teaching in a UK primary or SEND setting

• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs

• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills

• Experience planning and delivering differentiated lessons

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• A patient, resilient and nurturing approach to teaching
