Job Title: Primary Teacher

Salary: £172.98 - £175 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist ALN school based in Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT), supporting pupils aged 3 to 19 with Autism / ASD and complex additional learning needs. The school provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment, with a strong focus on sensory learning, learning through play and helping pupils develop their communication, independence and personal skills.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Primary Teacher on a full-time, long-term temporary basis, with an immediate start. The successful Primary Teacher will provide PPA cover across different classes and age groups, delivering engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with ASD and complex needs, whilst maintaining a positive and structured learning environment.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (NQTs are welcome to apply)

• Experience teaching within a primary school or specialist ALN setting

• Experience supporting children and young people with Autism / ASD and complex additional learning needs

• A strong understanding of sensory learning, play-based teaching and differentiated learning approaches

• Excellent classroom management skills and the confidence to deliver PPA cover across different classes

• A patient, caring and adaptable approach to supporting pupils with a range of learning needs
