Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join our team in Milton Keynes, supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Whether you''re seeking a part-time or full-time role, you will be an essential part of our team, creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for students with complex needs. You will collaborate with professionals to deliver tailored, effective learning experiences, ensuring each student''s individual needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) for students with ASC and SEMH, setting clear and achievable educational goals.
Design and deliver differentiated lessons that are engaging and meet the diverse needs of students with ASC and SEMH.
Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other support staff to provide integrated support, ensuring a holistic approach to learning.
Regularly assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet evolving needs and promote continued development.
Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on student progress and collaborating on strategies for ongoing support.
Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive relationships, empathy, and emotional well-being.
Stay current with developments in SEN, ASC, and SEMH strategies and attend professional development opportunities.
Implement appropriate behaviour management strategies that promote respect and support students with SEMH difficulties and challenging behaviours.
Requirements:
A Bachelor''s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master''s preferred).
Teaching certification in Special Education or equivalent.<
