As an MLD Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact, differentiated learning experiences tailored to individual EHCP outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver personalised learning journeys aligned with pupils'' EHCPs, focusing on developing functional academics, social communication, and life skills.
Differentiate curriculum delivery using a range of creative, multisensory, and assistive technologies to meet the diverse learning styles of students with MLD.
Champion a student-centred approach, embedding positive behaviour strategies, emotional regulation frameworks, and trauma-informed practice into everyday teaching.
Collaborate effectively with a transdisciplinary team including SENCOs, therapists (SaLT, OT), behaviour specialists, and support staff to implement integrated support plans.
Continuously assess, monitor, and review progress using robust tracking systems and contribute to annual reviews and multi-agency meetings.
Develop strong home-school partnerships, providing regular feedback and empowering parents/carers to support learning at home.
