Supply Desk is seeking an exceptional, nurturing, and dynamic SEN teacher to work closely with pupils who have complex learning difficulties in a school in the Slough area. The school is looking to appoint a qualified and experienced SEN teacher with a strong record of success in the classroom. This role involves working one-to-one or with small groups of students across a range of ages, delivering personalised learning tailored to help each student become happy, confident, and successful on their individual learning journey.
About the Role:
- Design, plan, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to different learning styles and abilities
- Develop and implement personalised education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs
- Regularly assess and track student progress, adapting teaching approaches to meet individual needs
- Collaborate with teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff to create an inclusive and supportive classroom
- Maintain open communication with parents, guardians, and caregivers, providing regular updates on student progress
- Participate in meetings with the SENCO and other professionals to review and plan for studentsandrsquo; needs and development
The ideal candidate will:
- Teaching qualification and relevant certifications for supporting students with special educational needs (e.g., PGCE in Special Education)
- Demonstrated experience as an SEN teacher, ideally within a similar educational environment
- Deep knowledge of a range of learning difficulties and disabilities
- Patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to teaching and student support
