Key Responsibilities
Targeted Teaching:
Plan and deliver tailored lessons that align with EHCP outcomes, focusing on literacy, numeracy, communication, and personal development.
Inclusive Learning:
Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet a range of learning needs, ensuring all pupils access the curriculum in meaningful ways.
Collaborative Practice:
Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement effective support strategies for each student.
Communication Support:
Utilise appropriate communication strategies to support students with speech, language, and communication needs, including visuals, simplified language, and scaffolding techniques.
Classroom Management:
Create a calm, supportive, and well-structured learning environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
Progress Monitoring:
Regularly assess and track student progress, using data to inform planning and provide detailed feedback to parents and carers.
Home-School Partnership:
Build strong relationships with families and external agencies to support a consistent and joined-up approach to each student''s development.
Team Collaboration:
Lead and support teaching assistants within the classroom, fostering a positive and cohesive team culture.
