Supply Desk is currently recruiting a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher with a specialism in Autism (ASC) to join a highly regarded specialist school in Radlett. This is a full-time role starting in September, offering a rewarding opportunity to support and inspire young learners with Autism Spectrum Condition in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Job Description:
- Deliver tailored lessons to students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ensuring accessibility and engagement.
- Plan and implement Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) in collaboration with SENCOs, therapists, and parents.
- Use structured teaching approaches such as TEACCH, PECS, and visual supports to enhance understanding and communication.
- Foster a safe, predictable classroom environment to support emotional regulation and engagement.
- Adapt curriculum content to suit pupilsandrsquo; developmental stages and EHCP outcomes.
- Support pupils'' social and emotional development through positive behaviour strategies and consistent routines.
- Work closely with support staff and therapists (e.g., SALTs, OTs) to deliver an integrated approach to education and wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress, behaviour, and development, and report to parents and external professionals.
- Participate in regular training, team meetings, and collaborative planning to ensure best practices are upheld.
Our Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent, with proven experience in special education, particularly with autism.
- Be knowledgeable in autism-specific strategies and interventions (e.g., PECS, Makaton, sensory integration).
- Have experience working within an SEN or ASD-specific setting.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability in response to individual pupil needs.
- Be confident in managing challenging behaviours in a calm and consistent manner.
- Have strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Hold or be willing to obtain a clear DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
- Be passionate about making a lasting impact on the lives of children with additional needs.
