Role Responsibilities:


  • Plan and deliver tailored learning programmes for pupils with a range of SEND, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH
  • Create a safe, structured, and stimulating classroom environment that supports both academic progress and emotional wellbeing
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, the SENCO, and external agencies to implement EHCPs and targeted interventions
  • Use differentiated teaching strategies and multi-sensory approaches to meet individual learning needs
  • Monitor pupil progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to review meetings
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues to support holistic development

The Ideal Candidate Will:


  • Have experience working within a SEN setting (preferred but not essential)
  • Be patient, empathetic, and committed to inclusive education
  • Have a strong understanding of SEND strategies, EHCP processes, and behaviour support techniques
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Be reflective, resilient, and committed to ongoing professional development
  • Be able to adapt teaching to meet the individual needs of every learner
