Role Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver tailored learning programmes for pupils with a range of SEND, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH
- Create a safe, structured, and stimulating classroom environment that supports both academic progress and emotional wellbeing
- Work closely with teaching assistants, the SENCO, and external agencies to implement EHCPs and targeted interventions
- Use differentiated teaching strategies and multi-sensory approaches to meet individual learning needs
- Monitor pupil progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to review meetings
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues to support holistic development
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working within a SEN setting (preferred but not essential)
- Be patient, empathetic, and committed to inclusive education
- Have a strong understanding of SEND strategies, EHCP processes, and behaviour support techniques
- Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Be reflective, resilient, and committed to ongoing professional development
- Be able to adapt teaching to meet the individual needs of every learner
