Supply Desk is working with a welcoming and well-established specialist school in Milton Keynes that supports pupils with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Communication and Interaction Difficulties, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ADHD, PDA, and Complex Needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver high-quality, individualised learning that enables pupils to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

You will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with Autism and complex SEND.
  • Create a structured, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel safe and supported.
  • Support the development of communication, emotional regulation, social skills, and independence.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, families, and external professionals to achieve positive outcomes for pupils.
  • Use effective behaviour support strategies to help pupils engage successfully in learning.
  • Monitor progress against EHCP targets and adapt provision to meet individual needs.
  • Celebrate pupil achievements and promote confidence, resilience, and self-esteem.
About You

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience working within SEN education or supporting pupils with Autism and complex needs.
  • Understand EHCPs and personalised learning approaches.
  • Be confident supporting pupils with communication and interaction needs, SEMH needs, and associated learning barriers.
  • Possess excellent classroom management and relationship-building skills.
  • Be patient, adaptable, and committed to helping every child succeed.
  • Have a genuine passion for inclusive education.
