We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Primary Teacher to join a specialist provision supporting pupils with SEN and SEMH needs. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to work with students who require a nurturing and structured approach to learning.
The successful candidate will create a safe and supportive classroom environment, helping pupils to build confidence, re engage with education, and achieve meaningful progress both academically and emotionally.
This role requires a teacher who can adapt learning to meet individual needs and who understands the importance of building strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
About the SchoolThe provision is part of a specialist setting supporting primary aged pupils with complex SEMH needs, including those with EHCPs and those unable to access mainstream education.
The school provides a relationship focused and nurturing environment where every child is supported to succeed. Staff work collaboratively to ensure pupils receive personalised support, with a strong emphasis on emotional wellbeing and personal development.

Key Responsibilities• Plan and deliver engaging and adaptive lessons for primary aged pupils
• Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
• Support pupils with SEN and SEMH needs both academically and emotionally
• Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform teaching
• Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and external professionals
• Promote positive behaviour using supportive and restorative approaches
• Work collaboratively with staff to support individual learning plans
• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
• Experience teaching within a primary setting
• Understanding of SEN and SEMH needs
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
• Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to use own vehicle for school purposes
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
