About the Role
- Designing and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to students with diverse special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and social-emotional difficulties
- Establishing a structured, inclusive classroom environment that fosters independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
- Collaborating with support staff, therapists, and families to implement and regularly review personalised learning plans
- Applying assessment tools and targeted interventions to track pupil progress and adapt instructional strategies accordingly
- Supporting the school''s inclusive values by contributing to staff development and special educational needs (SEN) initiatives
The ideal candidate will:
- Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS); experience supporting children with additional needs is advantageous but not mandatory
- A caring, flexible, and proactive teaching style
- Excellent communication skills and effective classroom management
- Understanding of assistive technology and visual communication methods
- Dedicated to ongoing professional development and fostering inclusive learning environments
