Are you an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher looking for a new challenge£ A specialist school in the Windsor area is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher with expertise in Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) to join their team from January. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with complex needs.
This role involves working in a highly supportive environment that prioritises personalised learning, communication development, and emotional wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SLD.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and use a range of strategies to support communication and sensory needs.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to provide holistic support.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes independence and confidence.
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEN settings.
- Strong background in supporting pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties.
- Knowledge of communication systems (PECS, Makaton) and sensory integration strategies.
- Patient, adaptable, and committed to promoting positive outcomes for every child.
- Willingness to undertake ongoing training in safeguarding and specialist SEN approaches.
