Salary: -130 - -225 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 4:00pm
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

SEN Teacher Required
Prospero Teaching is delighted to be working with a specialist education setting in the Taunton area to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher for a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity.
This rewarding role involves teaching and supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and associated learning difficulties. The successful candidate will be passionate about creating an inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
The Role
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Creating a positive, safe, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Supporting pupils to achieve educational and personal development targets.
- Managing behaviour positively and promoting emotional wellbeing.
- Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals.
- Monitoring progress and adapting teaching strategies to maximise outcomes.
- Building strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs is desirable.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Passionate about making a lasting difference to young people''s lives.

- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Two professional references covering the last two years.
