SEN Teacher

We are currently recruiting experienced and passionate SEN Teachers to work across a range of specialist and SEN schools in Bristol, supporting pupils with a variety of additional learning, communication, behavioural and developmental needs. These roles offer an excellent opportunity for a dedicated teacher to make a genuine difference to pupils'' education, confidence and personal development while working within a supportive specialist environment.

As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that are adapted to meet the individual needs, abilities and learning styles of your pupils. You will work closely with Teaching Assistants and other members of the school team to create a structured and inclusive classroom environment, while supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning and make meaningful academic and personal progress.

You may be working with pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, challenging behaviour, speech and language difficulties, complex learning needs and other additional needs. The successful candidate will therefore need to be confident adapting their teaching approach, managing behaviour effectively and maintaining clear and consistent expectations. Building positive relationships with pupils will be a key part of the role, alongside promoting engagement, independence and confidence.

We are looking for teachers who are patient, resilient, adaptable and passionate about working with pupils who require additional support. Previous experience within SEN, specialist, PRU or Alternative Provision settings is highly desirable, particularly for candidates who have experience supporting pupils with complex needs or challenging behaviour. We are also keen to speak with mainstream teachers who have a strong interest in moving into SEN and can demonstrate transferable classroom management and differentiation skills.
