SEN Teacher
SEN Teacher - Specialist Provision (Primary/Secondary SEN Setting)
Location: Northwich
Contract: Full Time | Long Term (ASAP Start)
Premier Education Ltd are currently working in partnership with a specialist SEN provision in the Northwich area who are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a highly supportive environment, teaching pupils with a range of complex special educational needs, including autism (ASC), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, communication difficulties, and learning disabilities.
The school is looking for a passionate and resilient teacher who can deliver highly differentiated and engaging learning experiences, while supporting pupils'' academic, emotional, and social development.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver personalised, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Teach pupils with a range of complex SEN needs across varying ability levels
- Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
- Implement and support EHCP targets and individual learning plans
- Use a range of behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
- Work closely with SENCOs, support staff, therapists, and external professionals
- Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress and development
- Promote independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working within an SEN or specialist provision setting (essential)
- Strong understanding of autism, SEMH, and complex learning needs
- Confident in delivering differentiated and personalised learning
- Excellent behaviour management and relationship-building skills
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Ability to provide two references covering the last two years of employment history
- An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
Pay
-140 - -200 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
