SEN Teacher Pupil Referral Unit, Hackney Start Date: Immediate Start Contract: Full-Time, London Salary: Competitive, dependent on experienceWe are looking for an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher to join a well-respected Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Hackney. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and young people who may have experienced barriers to learning, and make a real difference to their educational journey.The RoleIn this SEN Teacher role you will be teaching within their secondary provision. Classes will be up to 6 pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs. You will have a team of support staff in the class to allow for emotional and behavioural support. You will need to have a good understanding of core subject curriculums and must have PRU experience.You will need to be approachable and patient and be able to build a strong rapport with the students. You will be working closely with other staff and professionals to manage challenging emotional and social behaviour on a daily basis. Responsibilities include:Deliver high-quality, tailored teaching to students with special educational needs.Plan and implement engaging lessons in line with the school s curriculum.Manage classroom behaviour effectively, creating a safe and supportive learning environment.Develop individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.Work closely with other professionals, including SENCOs, support staff, and external agencies.Provide regular feedback to ..... full job details .....
