• Daily Rate: -162 - -251 per day (MPS/UPS, dependent on experience)
• Start Date: 01/09/2026
• Contract: Long Term to Permanent
• Working Hours: Part Time - 3 Days Per Week

Are you an experienced and compassionate teacher with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs?

Long Term Futures are proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive one-form entry mainstream primary school in Bartley Green, Birmingham. We are seeking a committed SEN Teacher to join their supportive team, working with pupils across the primary age range who require additional support to access learning and achieve their full potential.

• Teach and support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 with a range of additional needs.
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs, including SEMH, ASD, SLCN, cognition & learning difficulties, and behavioural needs.
• Implement effective and consistent behaviour management strategies.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, Senior Leadership Team, parents/carers, and external agencies.
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress, contributing to EHCP reviews and SEN support planning.
• Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment that enables every child to thrive.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with ECT induction completed.
• Experience teaching across the primary curriculum.
• Strong understanding of adapting teaching and provision for pupils with SEN.
• Excellent classroom management skills and emotional resilience.
• TeamTeach, MAPA, or trauma-informed training would be advantageous.
• Flexible, proactive, and collaborative approach to teaching and learning.

• Dedicated SEND provision supporting pupils across the primary age range in a nurturing and structured setting.

• Experienced Inclusion team working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, parents/carers, and external professionals to provide targeted support and interventions.
