SEN Teacher
Empowering Learning is seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in Newcastle Upon Tyne.This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to supporting young people who may have experienced barriers to education and require a nurturing, trauma-informed approach to learning.The successful candidate will play a key role in helping learners build confidence, develop positive relationships, and achieve both academic and personal success.The RoleAs an SEN Teacher within this SEMH provision, you will:Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupilsCreate a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environmentSupport pupils with SEMH needs, challenging behaviours, and additional learning needsDevelop positive relationships that encourage engagement and attendanceWork closely with support staff, parents, carers, and external agenciesMonitor progress and implement strategies to help pupils achieve their potentialPromote positive behaviour through restorative and therapeutic approachesContribute to EHCP reviews and individual learning plans where requiredThe Ideal CandidateWe are looking for a teacher who:Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Has experience working with pupils with SEMH needs, SEND, or within alternative provisionsDemonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skillsHas a resilient, patient, and adaptable approachUnderstands ..... full job details .....
