About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties. The ideal candidate will help create a safe, inclusive environment where pupils can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Responsibilities Pupil Support Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual needs.Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum through differentiation and scaffolding.Support communication, sensory needs, emotional regulation, and social interaction.Help implement and review EHCP targets and behaviour/support plans. Classroom Support Work under the direction of the class teacher and SENCo.Prepare learning materials and resources adapted to pupils'' needs.Promote positive behaviour, using de-escalation and consistent routines.Supervise pupils during transitions, breaktimes, and offsite activities when needed. Record Keeping and Collaboration Record observations, progress notes, and incident details as required.Communicate regularly with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals.Attend training, meetings, and CPD relevant to SEN. Safeguarding Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.Respond appropriately to concerns or disclosures.
