The class caters for pupils with ASD, so the successful candidate will need to understand the importance of consistent routines, visual support, communication strategies and adapting learning to individual developmental needs.This is an excellent opportunity for a SEN Teacher with experience in autism provision who would like to work within a mainstream primary school with dedicated support staff.Job ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver personalised lessons suited to pupils with ASDAdapt activities to meet individual learning and developmental needsUse visual timetables, structured routines and communication strategies where appropriatePromote communication, interaction, independence and social developmentEstablish a calm, predictable and positive learning environmentWork closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider school teamMonitor progress and contribute to individual pupil targetsSupport emotional regulation and positive behaviourLiaise with colleagues and families to ..... full job details .....
