SEN TeacherTemp to Perm Teacher - Specialist SEN Provision37 hours per week Term Time OnlyAcademics are working in partnership with a specialist provision to recruit an experienced and dedicated Teacher for a Temp to Perm opportunity starting asap or after the Easter. This is a rewarding role supporting young people with autism and associated MLD/SLD within a highly supportive, multidisciplinary and often complex environment.The successful candidate will deliver engaging, structured learning across the curriculum to a small mixed KS3/4 class of six pupils, each supported on a 1:1 basis throughout the school day.As an SEN Teacher you should be:Well organised with the ability to plan a structured learning environmentPractical, creative and inventive in their teaching approachEnthusiastic, energetic and proactiveSkilled at interacting and communicating in a variety of waysCommitted to developing expertise in SEND and autismConfident managing complex behavioursAble to contribute positively to a multi-disciplinary teamKey Responsibilities:Follow schemes of work and create medium-term plansPlan and deliver high-quality lessons across the curriculumSupport pupils with ASD in both academic learning and personal developmentContribute to ongoing curriculum developmentThe role focuses on supporting pupils to:Increase independence in school and daily livingDevelop effective communication, including use of assistive technologyBuild resilience as learners and young peopleImprove ..... full job details .....
