The Role

As a SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching a Year 5/6 class and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of your pupils. This is a full teaching role with complete classroom responsibilities, including planning, preparation, assessment, reporting, and working collaboratively with support staff and other professionals.

This SEN Teacher position is due to start on 13th July and will continue until October half term.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons to a Year 5/6 class.
  • Adapting learning to meet the needs of pupils with autism, speech and language needs, and sensory processing challenges.
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress.

  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Previous SEN experience is desirable but not essential for teachers looking to transition into a specialist setting.

Why Apply?

  • Excellent experience for teachers looking to develop their SEN expertise.
  • Full-time position with full teaching responsibilities.
  • Rewarding role within a well-established specialist school.
