SEN Teacher - Folkestone

Academics are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEN school based in Folkestone. This is a full-time role, working 5 days per week, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and complex special educational needs.

The Role: SEN Teacher

• Deliver engaging, tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with ASC and complex SEN
• Create a structured, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants and multidisciplinary teams to support student development
• Implement EHCP targets and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
• Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
• Proven experience working within SEN settings, particularly with ASC and complex needs
• Strong behaviour management skills and a patient, adaptable approach
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
