SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support | Long-Term Role | East London
Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding long-term opportunity?
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join welcoming schools across east London, providing 1:1 support for pupils with moderate special educational needs.
This is a long-term position where you''ll play a key role in helping pupils access learning, develop confidence, and reach their full potential within a supportive school environment.
The Role
Providing dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with moderate SEN.
Supporting learning both in and out of the classroom.
Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive engagement.
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to implement individual learning plans.
Promoting positive behaviour and helping create an inclusive learning environment.
Monitoring progress and providing regular feedback to school staff.
Requirements
Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs is essential.
Experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis is highly desirable.
A patient, caring, and resilient approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
