SEN TA 5 days
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional learning needs. You will help create a safe, positive and engaging learning environment where every pupil is encouraged to reach their full potential.
Your responsibilities will include supporting pupils with their learning and development, providing one-to-one and small-group support, assisting with classroom activities, encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about working with children and young people with SEN
- Patient, empathetic and understanding
- Confident supporting pupils with additional needs
- Able to build positive and trusting relationships
- Resilient and able to remain calm in challenging situations
- A strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Previous SEN experience is desirable but not essential
Relevant qualifications or experience in SEN, Teaching Assistance, Education, Childcare, Health & Social Care or similar would be advantageous.
