Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Primary Schools Location: Huddersfield and surrounding areas Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible day-to-day Start Date: Immediate and Upcoming Term Starts Are you an experienced or aspiring SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful difference in the classroom? We are partnering with a variety of welcoming mainstream primary schools across Huddersfield that require dedicated, compassionate support staff to work alongside pupils with additional educational needs. Whether you are looking for long-term consistency or flexible day-to-day work around your schedule, we have immediate opportunities available. The Role Providing 1:1 and small group support to children with additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language delays. Assisting the class teacher with differentiated learning activities and positive behaviour strategies. Creating an inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environment. Supporting pupils with sensory breaks, emotional regulation, and social communication. What We Are Looking For Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school, care, nursery, or youth work backgrounds welcome). A calm, patient, and proactive approach to behaviour support and learning development.
