SEN Specialist TutorContract / Position Details:Location: GatesheadPosition: SEN Specialist TutorStart Date: ASAPDuration: Dependent on individual student needsHours: Part-time (10-15 hours per week)Session Length: Minimum 1 hour, maximum 3 hours per sessionPay Rate: 25- 30 per hourAbout the OpportunityProspero Teaching is seeking an experienced SEN Tutor to deliver bespoke 1:1 education packages to young people with complex Special Educational Needs (SEN) who are currently not attending school.Students present with a range of complex SEND needs, including:Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)Non-verbal communication needsProfound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)Global learning delaySocial, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH)Many pupils have been out of education for an extended period and may be awaiting a specialist school placement. The successful tutor will provide structured, personalised support to help bridge learning gaps, build confidence, and support both academic and emotional development.Prospero Teaching will work closely with the tutor to monitor progress and ensure effective learning outcomes for each pupil.Experience, Training and QualificationsQTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent qualificationPrevious experience supporting young people with complex SENMinimum of 6 months'' experience working in a UK schoolUp-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable but not essential)Personal care experience (desirable but not essential)To Be Eligible for This Role ..... full job details .....
