SEN Outreach Tutor (English and Maths)Location: Barking and Dagenham Pay: From 25 per hour Start: ASAPProspero Teaching is seeking an experienced SEN Specialist Tutor to deliver 1:1 English and Maths support to children and young people who are currently unable to access mainstream education.You will provide bespoke, individualised learning programmes for pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties and anxiety-based school avoidance. Many learners may have been out of education for some time and require support with confidence, engagement, and routine.This role is ideal for an experienced teacher or SEN tutor who enjoys working outside the classroom and making a direct, positive impact.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver tailored 1:1 English and Maths sessionsAdapt teaching to meet a range of SEN needsSupport engagement, confidence, and emotional regulationMonitor progress and adjust learning plansWork closely with Prospero Teaching and other professionalsContract DetailsTemporary / Contract roleFlexible hours: 1-3 hours per sessionPart-time or full-time availableDuration dependent on pupil needsLocal placements across Barking and DagenhamRequirementsEssential:Experience supporting children or young people with SENAbility to teach English and MathsStrong communication and adaptabilityDesirable:QTS, PGCE, QTLS or equivalent6+ months'' experience in a UK school, SEN setting or alternative provisionSafeguarding training (or willingness to ..... full job details .....
