Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in West Midlands. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. Targeted Provision is on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN/SEND, and other needs such as SEMH. We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties). We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in West Midlands. Our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK, with a team around the child and support throughout every placement by our SEN / SEND Support Specialists. This role is suitable for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who prefer 1:1 tutoring with a variety of learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes.What We Offer Our SEN / SEND Tutors

This role involves providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred by Targeted ProvisionYoung people are referred by local authorities and schools and will require support in educational and social-emotional developmentRole includes flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoringSEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
Planning each session of teaching / tutoring / mentoringProviding holistic and engaging sessions that meet the young person’s needs and advance their educational and social-emotional journeyCompleting lesson reports and providing feedback on progressSEN / SEND Tutor requirements
Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS)Minimum 2 years teaching experienceExperience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or other Additional Educational NeedsExperience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processesEnhanced DBS (assistance available to obtain at cost if needed)Two professional referencesUK residence and right to work in the UK, including remote/online assignmentsIt is a strict requirement that you promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.SEN / SEND Tutor Employment Status
