SEN Secondary Tutor

Remedy Tutors is seeking dedicated and adaptable tutors to provide one-to-one tuition for secondary-aged students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We work to ensure every learner receives personalised support to help them succeed academically and build confidence.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver lessons tailored to the individual needs of each student

• Adapt teaching methods and resources to suit different learning styles and abilities

• Support students with preparation for GCSEs or other secondary assessments

• Monitor and report progress to parents, carers, and our support team

• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

• Experience working with secondary-aged students with SEN (QTS or specialist qualifications preferred but not essential)

• Strong subject knowledge in one or more core secondary subjects (English, Mathematics, Science)

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Ability to adapt and differentiate learning materials

• Patience, empathy, and resilience

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
