SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: Greenwich Contract Type: Supply, Long term Salary: £100 - £115 per day Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.45am until 3.30pm This school is dedicated to supporting young people aged 11-16 who require assistance with social communication, emotional regulation, and sensory processing, typically associated with Autism. The school offers a tailored curriculum designed to meet the needs, interests, and passions of each student, ensuring every opportunity to achieve is provided.Day-to-day of the role:Take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare and positive wellbeing of pupils according to the school''s policies, including safeguarding and PREVENT.Provide meaningful feedback on pupil behaviour, relationships, and attitudes.Support positive behaviour and concentration levels of the children and adapt own behaviour and responses to any change or escalations in behaviour of the children.Establish a positive relationship with pupils to support them in feeling safe and enabling them to enjoy and learn.Promote and encourage independence and personal development and maintain high expectations of behaviour at all times and support in the achievement of this.Implement, and when appropriate, adjust learning activities as agreed with the teacher.
