SEN Secondary Teacher - September 2026 Start - Lewisham

Remedy are currently working with a fantastic SEN secondary school in Lewisham who are looking to recruit a passionate SEN Secondary Teacher for a September 2026 start. This is a rewarding opportunity for teachers who are committed to supporting pupils with ASD and additional complex needs within a specialist setting.

Key Details:

  • Location: SEN Secondary School in Lewisham
  • Start Date: September 2026
  • Contract: Long term/Permanent
  • Salary: -200 - -240 per day
  • Hours: Full-time
  • Key Stages: KS3 & KS4

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SEN
  • Support students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
  • Promote students'' academic, social, and emotional development
  • Work closely with SENCOs, therapists, and support staff
  • Lead classroom routines and contribute to the wider school community
  • Ensure high standards of safeguarding and inclusive practice

This is a fantastic opportunity within a school that has a strong, supportive leadership team and a clear focus on student wellbeing, progress, and independence. The school offers excellent facilities and a nurturing environment, with staff working collaboratively alongside professionals such as Speech & Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists to provide a holistic approach to learning.

Requirements:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEN, particularly ASD and complex needs
  • Strong understanding of the secondary curriculum
  • Experience supporting students with communication and social needs
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A patient, adaptable, and positive approach
