SEN Teaching Assistant - Secondary School | East London

Remedy Education are looking for a confident and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist secondary school in East London.

This role would suit someone who is comfortable supporting older pupils and understands how to adapt their approach to meet a range of additional needs. You''ll be working closely with teaching staff to help pupils stay engaged, develop their independence and make progress both academically and personally.

What you''ll be doing:

• Supporting secondary-aged pupils with a range of SEN

• Providing targeted 1:1 and small-group support

• Helping pupils access lessons and classroom activities

• Supporting communication, confidence and independence

• Helping pupils manage behaviour and emotional regulation

• Assisting with interventions and personalised learning

• Building positive relationships with pupils

• Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals

We''re looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience working with SEN pupils in a secondary setting

• Strong behaviour management skills

• A calm, patient and resilient approach

• The confidence to support pupils with complex needs

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• A genuine passion for working within specialist education
