Overview and Responsibilities SEN Primary Teacher Location: Leyland, Nr Preston, Lancashire Salary: M1 -M6 dependent on experience Hours: 40 hours per week The Aurora Group The Aurora Group is an innovative provider of education and care for children, young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities. We''re currently looking for an experienced Teacher in Leyland, Nr. Preston where our BrooklandsSchool provides specialist academic and therapeutic support in a welcoming environment for students aged 9-16 who face challenges associated with social, emotional and mental health needs. The Role: To deliver high quality teaching and learning to children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Specific Learning Difficulties and Complex Needs, who may present with some challenging behaviours. Some pupils may have multiple and significant learning difficulties. To deliver a Primary curriculum to KS2/KS3 pupils. Key responsibilities: Be responsible for the high quality of teaching and learning of all pupils who are assigned to the post holder, having responsibility for their progress, welfare and outcomes.Supervise the work of any support staff, who are assigned to work with the post holder''s pupils.To have an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the professional duties of teachers and the statutory framework within which teachers work.To take responsibility for implementing school policies and practice, including those relating to ..... full job details .....
