Location: Smallfield, Surrey
Salary: -35,602 - -50,625 per annum (M1-UPS1 Fringe)
Welcome Bonus: -5,000 for Qualified Teachers*
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time, Term Time Only
Hours: 40 hours per week
Working Hours: 8:15am start | Mon/Wed/Thu 4:45pm | Tue 5:00pm | Fri 4:00pm
About the Role
Simply Education are excited to be working with a specialist primary SEND setting in Smallfield, supporting pupils aged 6-11 with communication difficulties linked to Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to deliver high-quality, personalised teaching within a supportive and creative learning environment. Many pupils are working significantly below their chronological age, making a strong understanding of KS1 and early KS2 particularly valuable.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, structured lessons across a broad and creative curriculum.
- Develop personalised learning plans that meet students'' educational, physical and social needs.
- Set, monitor and review individual learning targets.
- Assess, track and report on student progress.
- Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to support individual needs.
- Contribute to EHCP, PEP and LAC reviews where appropriate.
- Develop your knowledge of autism and associated learning needs to inform effective teaching.
- Promote positive, non-confrontational approaches to behaviour and support students who may display challenging behaviours.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding and child protection.
What We''re Looking For
- QTS is essential.
- Experience teaching across a range of subjects.
- Experience working with pupils with ASD, SEMH and/or PDA profiles.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Experience managing a range of behaviours and using positive behaviour approaches.
- A creative, patient and child-centred approach to teaching.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
