SEN Mentor Support Young People Through Compassionate, Relationship-Based MentoringWe''re looking for a dedicated SEN Trauma-Informed Mentor to support children and young people across the BCP area through personalised 1:1 mentoring.Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you''ll support learners who may have experienced significant barriers to education and require a consistent, trusted adult to help them build confidence, resilience, and engagement. Many of the young people we work with have SEND, EHCPs, anxiety, or social and emotional needs, and benefit from a trauma-informed approach that prioritises safety, trust, and positive relationships.This role focuses on supporting the whole child, helping them develop confidence, emotional regulation, and a more positive connection with learning.Location: BCPRole: SEN Trauma-Informed MentorStart Date: SeptemberHours: FlexiblePay Rate: 25- 30 per hourType: 1:1 Mentoring RequirementsMinimum 6 months'' experience in an educational setting, including mentoring, teaching, tutoring, learning support, teaching assistant, youth work, or similar rolesExperience supporting children and young people with SENDUnderstanding of trauma-informed practice and relationship-based supportAbility to build trust and maintain positive professional boundariesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPatient, resilient, and empathetic approachEnhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain oneDriver preferred; alternatively, willingness ..... full job details .....
