Are you passionate about making a genuine difference in the life of a student with special educational needs£ Do you have experience working in an SEN school environment£ Supply Desk is looking for compassionate and skilled 1:1 Learning Support Assistants to provide personalised support to students in specialist SEN schools across Hemel Hempstead.
Position Details:
Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: From andpound;85 per day
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Perm
Your Role Will Involve:
Providing dedicated 1:1 support to pupils with a range of complex needs including autism (ASC), speech and language difficulties, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning challenges.
Assisting pupils in accessing bespoke curriculums tailored to their individual EHCPs.
Collaborating closely with SENCOs, teachers, and therapists to deliver effective, student-centred support.
Creating a nurturing, inclusive learning environment that supports both emotional and academic development.
Essential Requirements:
Experience working in an SEN school setting is essential - please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement.
Patience, empathy, and a strong understanding of supporting students with additional needs.
Confidence in managing challenging behaviours using de-escalation and positive behaviour support strategies.
A proactive and flexible approach to working in a specialised educational environment.
