Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Salary: £18,345

Supply Desk are working with a welcoming primary school in Chichester who are looking for an enthusiastic and committed SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and wants to make a genuine difference to their learning, development and wellbeing.

You will work alongside pupils with a range of additional needs, providing support both 1:1 and within small groups.

The role will involve:

• Supporting children with Special Educational Needs

• Providing 1:1 and small-group learning support

• Helping pupils engage with their learning and develop independence

• Supporting children with complex needs in a calm and nurturing way

• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils

• Supporting pupils with healthcare needs following appropriate training and individual care plans

• Assisting with personal care where required

• Working closely with teachers and the wider support team

• Contributing positively to the wider life of the school

The successful candidate will be:

• Calm, patient and nurturing

• Resilient and confident supporting children with additional needs

• Reliable, punctual and committed

• Passionate about helping children achieve their potential

• Ideally experienced working with SEN or complex needs

• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

• Interested in Early Years education

• Willing to undertake relevant training to support individual pupil needs

Previous experience within a school, SEN setting, nursery or care environment would be advantageous, but transferable experience will also be considered.
