SEN Learning Support Assistant

Vetro Education is actively seeking highly motivated, flexible, and committed SEN Teaching Assistants for an immediate start at a specialist SEN school in Swansea.
This is a full-time, long-term, permanent opportunity where you''ll provide vital support to young people aged 4-19 with autism, who may also have additional learning difficulties and behaviours that challenge.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Support and supervise educational games, sports, and craft activities.
• 
  Assist children with reading and other core subjects.
• 
  Prepare the classroom for lessons and create engaging displays of children''s work.
• 
  Work with pupils in small groups and/or provide 1:1 support for children with additional needs.
• 
  Support teachers in managing class behaviour effectively.
• 
  Facilitate group activities and promote a positive learning environment.

What We''re Looking For:

• 
  Experience and understanding of how to support young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
• 
  Previous school experience, ideally within an SEN setting.
• 
  References covering the last two years (no employment gaps).
• 
  A current DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
• 
  The Right to Work in the UK.
