We are working with a unique provision based in Epsom supporting pupils with moderate learning difficulties within a mainstream secondary school. This role in Epsom is also an excellent opportunity for a Psychology, Criminology, or Sociology graduate looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in education and SEN.
About the Role
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will be working within a specialist centre based in a mainstream secondary school in Epsom, supporting students who require additional help to access education. This role would suit both experienced SEN practitioners and a Psychology, Criminology, or Sociology graduate interested in developing a career in education, psychology, or mental health.
Key Responsibilities for a SEN Learning Support Assistant
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs
- Assist in delivering a tailored, hybrid curriculum
- Support students'' social, emotional, and academic development
- Work closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
- Experience working with children, young people, or individuals with SEN (desirable but not essential)
- A caring, patient, and resilient nature
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- An interest in education, SEN, or mental health

**Able to commute to Epsom
