Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm

Supply Desk are seeking a committed SEN Keyworker to join a supportive secondary school in Portsmouth, working within the SEN department to provide targeted intervention and student support.

The Role

We are seeking a proactive SEN Keyworker to work closely with students requiring additional support. You will play a vital role in delivering targeted interventions and supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students with additional needs through planned interventions and one-to-one support
• Working closely with the SEN department to implement individual support strategies
• Helping students to improve engagement, behaviour, and academic progress
• Building positive, trusting relationships with students to promote wellbeing and confidence
• Supporting teachers within lessons where required
• Monitoring and tracking student progress and providing feedback to staff

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school or SEN setting
• A patient, calm, and empathetic approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to build relationships and positively influence student outcomes
• A proactive attitude and willingness to support across different areas of the school

Previous experience supporting students with SEN or SEMH needs is desirable but not essential.
