SEN Job Coach
By the time young people reach 16-24, some may have struggled to access mainstream education or may need additional support to find their direction. This is an opportunity to help them build confidence, develop practical skills and take their next steps towards education, training or employment. This permanent, full-time role offers a salary of £23,000-£27,000 per year (depending on experience), based in Northampton town centre, with some travel required across West Northamptonshire. Business mileage and expenses are paid. As a Job Coach, you will work closely with young people on an individual and small-group basis, helping them prepare for the world of work and supporting them throughout work placements. You will also build relationships with local employers and education professionals to ensure each young person receives the right support to progress. Your work will include: Helping young people identify suitable work experience and employment opportunities. Building relationships with employers and sourcing appropriate work placements. Supporting young people while they are in the workplace and regularly checking in with employers. Helping learners develop CVs, complete job applications and prepare for interviews. Supporting young people to develop confidence, independence and practical workplace skills. Delivering travel training and helping learners become more confident travelling independently.
