About the Role

As an SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant in Birmingham, you will provide dedicated one-to-one behavioural support to a female student within a specialist SEN school. The Role:
As an SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will provide dedicated 1:1 behavioural support to a female student within a specialist SEN school. You will help her stay focused, manage emotions and engage positively with learning throughout the school day. You will work closely with the class teacher, SEN team and pastoral staff to provide consistent support, clear boundaries and encouragement.

You should be confident building trust, following behaviour plans and maintaining a positive approach during challenging moments. Requirements
- 2:2 degree or above in any subject, ideally Psychology, Criminology, Education or a related field.
- A genuine interest in supporting students with SEN and behavioural needs.
- Strong communication skills and a calm, consistent approach.
- The ability to build positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.

This SEN school in the Ward of Hall Green provides specialist support for pupils with a range of additional needs. Staff focus on structure, consistency and positive relationships to help students feel safe, supported and able to make progress.
