SEN ENGLISH TEACHER

• Salary: -28,288 - -44,304 per year based on 40 hours per week
• Contract: Full time, permanent position.
• Location: Wisbech
• Start date: As soon as possible or September 2026

School Staffing Solutions are working with a secondary SEN school in Wisbech who require a SEN English Teacher to mentor and support their pupils.The school provides high quality learning experiences within a small, focused nurturing environment to secondary school aged children who have an EHCP for Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils, including those with SEND and trauma histories
• Use assessment data to monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Promote pupils'' social, emotional, and academic development through trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning, consistent with the school''s behaviour policy and Staff Code of Conduct.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and specialist staff to provide effective support

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience teaching pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour
• Strong understanding of curriculum, assessment, and behaviour management in special education settings
• Previous experience Teaching English
• QTS/QTLS qualification
• Commitment to professional conduct, safeguarding, and the Staff Code of Conduct.
• Ability to plan, deliver, and assess effective teaching and learning
• Resilience, empathy, adaptability, and passion for supporting vulnerable pupils
