This well-established setting supports secondary-aged students with autism (ASC) and a range of additional cognitive and neurological needs, placing student wellbeing and inclusion at the heart of everything they do.

The Role
As a SEN Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. You will lead pre-planned lessons, ensuring students stay engaged in a calm, structured, and supportive environment. When not covering classes, you will work alongside teaching staff to support pupils in accessing the curriculum and achieving their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons to secondary students
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Support students with autism and additional needs to stay focused and regulated
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and differentiated learning
• Promote positive routines, independence, and engagement
• Provide clear feedback on student progress and behaviour

About You:

• Experience working with young people (education or SEN preferred)
• Confident leading a classroom independently
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Calm, patient, and adaptable approach
• Understanding of autism and SEN (desirable but not essential)
