SEN Cover SupervisorLocation: Smallfield, SurreySector: SEN SupportJob Type: Full Time / Part-timeStart Date: ImmediateWe are seeking a confident and compassionate SEN Cover Supervisor to join a special needs school in Smallfield, Surrey supporting students with autism, communication needs, dyslexia, and anxiety-related barriers to learning.In this role, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring continuity of learning while supporting students'' academic, social, and emotional development in a structured and nurturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and manage classes in the absence of the teacherDeliver pre-set lesson plans and ensure students remain on taskProvide individual and small group support to students with SENSupport behaviour management in line with school policiesEncourage positive engagement and participation in learningAssist with communication, social interaction, and independence skillsWork closely with teaching staff and SENCO to support student progressSkills and QualificationsGCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above)Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (e.g. ASD, SEMH)Strong behaviour management and classroom supervision skillsGood understanding of safeguarding and child protectionAbility to remain calm, patient, and adaptableRelevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 TA or Cover Supervisor training) are desirableWhy Join Us?Ongoing training and professional developmentSupportive and collaborative ..... full job details .....
