SEN Case officer
Key Responsibilities QA of Proposed Amendment Plans (PAPs) Quality assure all PAPs prior to issue Ensure amendments from professionals and settings are accurately reflected Check consistency across Sections B, F, and I following proposed changes Ensure plans are clear, specific, and legally compliant Ensure statutory amendment processes are followed (notifications, timelines, and rights) Verify that proposed amendments are correctly evidenced and justified Ensure documentation supports decision-making thresholds (amend vs maintain position where relevant) Review and validate funding requests arising from PAPs Ensure uplifts or reductions are evidence-based and aligned to provision changes Identify cases requiring panel approval due to cost implications Prepare funding cases to a clear, defensible standard for panel Approve PAPs for issue once QA and funding checks are complete Ensure all documentation is accurate, consistent, and audit-ready Consistency & Throughput Maintain consistency across high-volume PAP outputs Support efficient turnaround times within the amendment process Work closely with case officers and business support to ensure workflow progression
