An inclusive Inner London school in Bexley is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN & Mental Health Support Assistant to join their team on a day-to-day basis, starting September 2025.
This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support children with Special Educational Needs who also require additional emotional and mental health care, helping them to succeed academically and personally in a nurturing environment.
ROLE DETAILS
- SEN & Mental Health Support Assistant role
- Outer London location (Bexley)
- September 2025 start - Long-term no short term or day to day cover
- Pay: -110 - -120 per day, dependent on experience and qualifications
- Work collaboratively with SEN coordinators, pastoral staff, and external professionals to provide tailored support
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Interest in supporting children with SEN and mental health needs
- Empathy, patience, and good communication skills
- Willingness to learn and apply strategies to support emotional wellbeing and behaviour
- Ability to adapt to individual pupil needs and work effectively within a team
- Commitment to professional development, particularly in SEN and mental health awareness
